What is a Dirty Carnivore?
A dirty carnivore is someone who receives the vast majority of calories and nutrients from the animal kingdom. For our purposes on this website, we will arbitrarily state that amount as less than 10% of calories consumed are from anything other than the animal kingdom. Usually that will mean plants, fungi and protoctists (such as seaweed) are consumed as seasonings and/or condiments. High carb foods like grains and legumes have no regular place in the diet of the dirty carnivore. Cheese and other low carb dairy may or may not be in the diet of the dirty carnivores - it is a Neolithic food that is known to cause problems in some people.
